I wake up early with a double hangover, go to the bathroom to get some water, notice my PC and think about why I’m not in front of it yet. So I sit down for a few minutes just to check a few sites and I find this. I mean c’mon. Where the hell are all these new albums coming from?
Anyway, I’m seeing Moonfog tonight, and my enthusiasm is too great not to mention that I’m hyped up as fuck. If I survive the show, I’ll give this one a good listen and write something proper….same goes for Deicide. Promise!

Massacra were one of the most prominent death-thrash bands in the early ’90s, and their first 3 albums are regarded as classics. Enjoy The Violence has been well tested by time. With raw, yet balanced production, tremolo style riffs, and all aesthetics of death metal with a thrash edge taken to perfection, it’s an excellent example for it’s genre. It’s furiosity is still very remarkable, and an great album for all standards.

BURNING SKIES started out in 2002 when Liam, Andie and Stu came together due
to their previous bands splitting up. They practised vigorously with the
focus of incorporating their diverse musical tastes into one heavy yet
accessible sound, that had a main focus on caustic, near-unstoppable slices
of laborious brutality.

It took until the end of 2002, before a fitting shouter (Merv) and second
guitarist (Ben) completed the band’s line-up, for BURNING SKIES to complete
the vision they set out to create.

Things came together quickly and the first demo “Premonition Of Things To
Come” was recorded in January 2003. BURNING SKIES immediately became an
underground secret, which caught the attention of LIFEFORCE RECORDS and
ushered in the release of their full length debut “Murder By Means Of
Existence” in February 2004. In 2005 Stu left and was replaced by Phil on
drums.

Set on world domination through their diverse and crippling metallic sound,
England’s BURNING SKIES have created one of the most stunning and cohesive
works of brutality known to man!

Yet another unexpected album leak. Grabbed this off mediaportal, haven’t listened, haven’t downloaded yet… we’re going to have a pretty busy year if albums keep raining like this, but I don’t think anybody’s goin to complain about it. And I’m sure Illdisposed won’t let any fans down with their new album.

Mix half a ton of black metal with half a ton of death metal, and you’ll probably get one ton of total awesome which is Belphegor. Blackened death metal with all the aesthetics of both genres taken to excellence. Pestapokalypse is doomy at times, slowing down and creating a melancholic atmosphere, sometimes it blasts away at amazing speeds with incredible riffs and drumwork. If you’re looking for a good mix of black and death, you won’t be disappointed with Pestapokalypse.
